Canyon Creek Pet Hospital Grand Opening Celebration

Canyon Creek Pet Hospital in the Silver Creek Valley area of San Jose received a warm welcome from community pet owners on Sunday at the hospital’s Grand Opening Celebration.  San Jose Councilwoman Rose Herrera presided over the official ribbon-cutting, and Santa Clara County Supervisor Dave Cortese’s wife, Patti, delivered a commendation plaque to the newest member of the professional services community.  Merchant Kim Abelite, owner of MegaByte Pizza Company/Canyon Creek Plaza, was the Master of Ceremonies and was instrumental in organizing the day’s activities.

Sunny skies greeted pet owners who arrived early to enter their companions into the Pet Parade, collect pet health information and samples from veterinary suppliers, and take tours of the new, state-of-the-art facility.  Trophies were awarded for the Smallest Pet, the Largest Pet, Best Costumed Team (owner and pet), and Cutest Pet.  Booths housed information from the local pet adoption agencies, 13th Street Cat Rescue and Companion Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.).  A free rabies vaccination clinic was sponsored by Canyon Creek Pet Hospital, raffle prizes were awarded and local merchants supplied free food snacks for the humans escorting their pets.

Canyon Creek Pet Hospital is open 7 days a week, 8 am to midnight.  The hospital is located in the Canyon Creek Plaza at 5617 Silver Creek Valley Road.  Owners Dr. Gill and Dr. Chahal are honored by the support demonstrated by the Evergreen/Silver Creek community and promise to provide compassionate pet care to the furry companions of their busy neighbors.
